Prince Hassan: Ongoing Wars and Conflicts Highlight the Need for Sustainable Drug Localization Strategies in the Middle East
The first International conference of the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, held under the patronage of Prince Hassan bin Talal, focusing on "Localization of Pharmaceutical Medicine in the Middle East." The conference emphasized the urgent need for sustainable strategies to localize pharmaceutical production due to ongoing conflicts and humanitarian crises in the region. Prince Hassan, represented by Dr. Saad Jaber, highlighted the importance of collaboration among the public sector, pharmaceutical manufacturers, academic institutions, and healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and advance clinical research. The project aims to enhance local drug manufacturing, reduce reliance on imports, lower costs, and create job opportunities, ultimately improving the region's pharmaceutical capabilities and export potential.
