The College of Computer Science and Informatics at Amman Arab University Participates in the International Conference “WHERS”
The College of Computer Science and Informatics at Amman Arab University participated in the WHERS conference, held at the University of Jordan under the patronage of Dr. Nadhir Al-Obaidat and organized by Queen Rania Academy. The faculty members, Dr. Walaa Al-Omari and Dr. Lyal Al-Zbain, represented the college in a discussion on the rapid development of higher education in Jordan.
The conference serves as a platform for collaboration between educators, policymakers, and industry experts to share ideas that will influence the future of higher education in the region. This conference focused on “Leadership in Career Path Innovation,” demonstrating Jordan’s commitment to preparing students for success in the workplace.
Key discussions focused on aligning university programs with labour market needs through the “UniRanks” initiative in addition to improving student employment and sharing best practices. Topics also included creating collaborations between academic institutions and industry, the role of technology in education and promoting mental health at universities.
Dr. Hussam Al-Hamad, Dean of the faculty, stressed the importance of such conferences to keep faculty members up to date on the link between industry and education, which ultimately benefits the students.
