A Training Course on “Architectural Drawing Using Watercolors” at Amman Arab University

Faculty of Engineering at Amman Arab University, represented by the Department of Architectural Engineering, and in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs/Office of Career Guidance and Graduate Follow-up (King Abdullah II Fund for Development) at the university, held a training course on “Architectural Drawing and Demonstration Using Watercolors,” directed to students of the Department of Architecture Engineering from First and second year students, in 18 training hours.

The training course was presented by engineer Ola Habash from the Faculty of Engineering at Amman Arab University, through which she provided a detailed explanation of the principles of drawing and architectural rendering in architecture. The course touched on learning architectural drawing methods and the principle of shade and shadows, in addition to how to draw the horizontal and vertical projections of architectural elements, and how to Convert 2D drawing into 3D drawing.

The workshop, which was attended by 15 students from the Department of Architecture, included teaching the use of watercolors as a means of architectural presentation. The students expressed great interest in the subject of the course as it works to develop their skills in demonstrating architectural projects, stressing the necessity of continuing to hold such courses in the future, as holding this course comes as part of achieving the standards of the strategic and procedural plan for the College of Engineering at Amman Arab University, and qualifying graduates for the labor market.
