College of Engineering at Amman Arab University Meets New Students
The College of Engineering at Amman Arab University organized a meeting with its new students, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, department heads, and a number of academic and administrative staff members at the college.
Dr. Al-Assaf welcomed the students, stressing that Amman Arab University is proud of all its students. He also praised the excellence of the students of the College of Engineering in its three departments from all academic levels and their academic excellence. During the meeting, he referred to the academic and career path of the College of Engineering student, stressing the college’s keenness to hold important training courses that It helps the student to develop his scientific and practical skills and abilities, as the college organizes a group of training courses in coordination with various community institutions, in addition to organizing training workshops within the University through the Deanship of Student Affairs through the student’s skills portfolio, which qualifies the student for the labor market.
Dr. Al-Assaf added that the College of Engineering is keen to pay attention to its students from the beginning of their enrollment in the specialty through academic guidance as a first step that continues with the student until the end of his academic years. He stressed the importance of following up the student with the academic advisor and constantly following up on the directions regarding the academic schedule and study plan. He also listened to the ideas and suggestions presented by the attending students.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Assaf discussed the study plans for the three departments (architecture, civil engineering, and renewable energy engineering) and the learning outcomes for each study program in the College of Engineering (PLO’s) and the importance of linking them with the learning outcomes of a single course (CLO’s) to achieve an integrated matrix that gives the student knowledge, skills, and abilities which students of the College of Engineering need. Students of the College of Engineering praised the importance of such meetings, their quality, and their contribution to maintaining continuous communication between students and the Deanship of the College and the three departments.
