College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University Participates in the International Conference on Crisis and Disaster Management in Jakarta
College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University participated in the proceedings of the ninth international conference entitled “Crisis and Disaster Management in the Contemporary World,” which was held at the Indonesian Lan TABOER University in Jakarta and organized by the American University of Passion.
Amman Arab University was represented at the conference by Dr. Jihad Al-Momani, a faculty member in the Department of Administration, Curriculum, and Teaching Methods at the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences. Al-Momani presented a scientific paper entitled “Managing Crises and Disasters and Proposed Solutions to Them,” and through the paper he tackled the concept of crisis management, its importance, and its stages,in addition to the challenges facing crisis and disaster management in our contemporary world, also to providing realistic examples of crisis and disaster management and presenting contemporary experiences about some crises and disasters, such as Turkey’s experience in confronting the February 2023 earthquake, China's experience in managing the Corona crisis, Japan's experience in confronting the earthquake and tsunami, and the stages that were taken to deal with all of these crises .Dr. Al-Momani presented a presentation of the most prominent solutions proposed for managing crises and disasters in our contemporary world.
This participation comes as a response to Amman Arab University’s interest and keenness to have faculty members participate in Arab, regional and international conferences and to exchange experiences with academics from various countries of the world participating in these conferences.
