The President of Amman Arab University congratulated the Small and Medium-Sized Project Management Course participants in Balqa.
The President of Amman Arab University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Widyan, affirmed that the university takes the lead in its relationship with the local community by supporting needy students and supporting members of the local community in general. Dr. Al-Widyan said during the graduation ceremony of the participants in the training course on managing small and medium projects, organized by the Charity Associations Union - Balqa Branch in collaboration with the College of Business at the Amman Arab University. The course trained 40 participants representing various associations. He mentioned that the university is dedicated to activating the Office of Social Responsibility, which provides substantial assistance, financial support, and interest-free student loans to benefit the university's students and community.
Dr. Al-Widyan added that the university hosts the Charitable Entrepreneurship Association, offering a unique model in this field. He highlighted that the university had established a fund to support university students through donations from university staff, embodying the best image of charitable volunteer work and illustrating how humanitarian charity work can be effectively managed, achieving social solidarity.
On his part, Ra'ad Abu Hamour, the President of the Charitable Associations Union for the Balqa Governorate, provided an overview of the union and the services it offers. He emphasized the need for a genuine partnership between the union and Amman Arab University to support documented cases with realistic studies and provide additional discounts to needy students.
Dr. Mutie Al-Shibli, a faculty member at the College of Business, presented the main criteria for classifying small and medium-sized projects on both international and local levels and the stages of project development (initiation, growth, sustainability, maturity, decline). He discussed case studies, success stories, and various ideas to enhance small and medium-sized projects, covering project management aspects such as supervision, administration, leadership, operations management, project marketing, business leadership, production, pricing, promotion, distribution, packaging, and branding.
At the end of the training course, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Widyan, the President of Amman Arab University, and Ra'ad Abu Hamour, the President of the Charitable Associations Union, honored the participants in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Zoubi, Dean of the College of Business, and Dr. Mufleh Al-Jarrah, a faculty member at the College of Business at Amman Arab University.
