Under the Patronage of H.E. Sherifa Nofa bint Nasser, “Amman Arab University” and Arar Forum Organize a symposium “Arar of the Human Poet”
Irbid - As part of the festive activities of Irbid as the capital of Arab culture 2022, and on the occasion of the selection of Jordan's poet Arar as a symbol of Arab culture, Sharifa Nofa bint Nasser sponsored in the Arar Cultural House in the city of Irbid, a dialogue seminar entitled "The Arar of the Human Poet".This activity was organized by Amman Arab University in cooperation with the Arar Cultural Forum and incoordination with the Directorate of Culture of Irbid.
Sharifa Nofa said that the celebration of Irbid as the capital of Arab culture combined with the selection of Arar as a symbol of Arab culture embodies the importance of Jordan in general and the city of Irbid in particular in the Arab and national cultural scene, linking authenticity with contemporary and reflecting the importance of the cultural, poetic and literary heritage that Arar left for generations.
She emphasized that Arar is a symbol of the nation that has been celebrated for years and years because it represented a state of mind with an approach, vision and ambition in a reality and a better future for its society and people, and the arrogance of the present is always among us with what he left of literary heritage in poetry and prose, and we still repeat it whenever we get tired, and she said that this creative initiative from Amman Arab University is distinguished by reminding the human arrogance and reminding the free patriotic poet Arar.
For his part, the President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, pointed to the importance of partnership amomng the various sectors, authorities, and the platforms of science to meet with the platforms of literature and culture, as a reflection of the spirit of the nation, its culture and its civilizational stock, which constitutes literature the most important levers, pointing out that such events work to build bridges of interdependence between generations. It enriches the value of pride in the nation's men, symbols, and heritage, which is full of evidence of its originality, its heritage, its glory, and its history.
Al-Widyan added that Amman Arab University has named one of its halls after the Jordanian poet Mustafa Wahbi Al-Tal (Arar) in honor and appreciation of him, and that this celebration of this literary personality and the glorification of his worth reflects the Hashemite leadership's interest and appreciation for men of thought and literature.
