A Scientific Symposium Entitled "Not Try and be Cautious" at the College of Arts and Sciences


College of Arts and Sciences at Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Department of Basic Human and Scientific Sciences at the University, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Not Try and Be Cautious” that comes within the “Development and Environment” and “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” courses.


 The talk began with the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Yousef Al-Qudah, by welcoming the distinguished guests on behalf of the President of the University, Prof. Muhammad Al-Widyan, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Bani Hamdan, and members of the teaching and administrative staff. At the beginning of the talk, Dr. Al-Qudah congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and his faithful Crown Prince on the occasion of the seventy-sixth Independence Day, asking God Almighty to protect our beloved Jordan, in addition to having mercy on the martyrs of the Narcotics Control Department and the security services who died for the sake of God and the homeland in the face of drugs to purify the country and people from this deadly scourge.


  At the beginning of his speech, the representative of the Drug Enforcement Administration, First Lieutenant Ammar Al-Rawaiheh, reviewed the work of the Drug Enforcement Administration, which works within a very strong strategy, in revealing issues related to the work of the Department; this is due to the tremendous development in the administration’s work to combat and limit these phenomena that disturb the security and social system in our beloved country. Al-Rawajih spoke about the religious, social and institutional role of raising awareness of such pests. The Drug Enforcement Administration has a large periodic awareness plan to reduce these negative phenomena, including many workshops, mobile exhibitions, social media sites, and many awareness channels, stressing the importance of awareness.
 At the end of the meeting, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Yousef Al-Qudah presented the university’s shield to the representative of the Anti-Narcotics Department in appreciation of the efforts made.
