Workshop about Amman Stock Exchange at "Amman Arab University"
As part of a series of activities carried out by the Finance Department at the Faculty of Business at Amman Arab University, the department, in cooperation with the Office of Career Guidance and Graduate Follow-up / King Abdullah II Fund, held a training workshop entitled “Amman Stock Exchange: Developments and Achievements” presented by Dr. Rasha Dayat, Director of the Directorate of Planning and Development Institution at Amman Stock Exchange.
The importance of the workshop, which was held on the campus of Amman Arab University, to tackle Amman Stock Exchange tasks and achievements, and the role that the stock exchange plays in Jordan as a financial institution with financial and administrative independence that provides an organized market for the trading of securities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan characterized by justice, efficiency and transparency, and providing an environment for the trading of securities to increase confidence in the stock market and serve the national economy. During the workshop, Dr. Rasha introduced the stock exchange, its objectives, tasks and the legislative structure of the stock exchange, in addition to the divisions of the markets in the Amman Stock Exchange and the most important conditions for listing companies’ shares in the first and second markets.
Dr. Diat also expressed her thanks to Amman Arab University and the Finance Department for hosting the activities of this workshop.
