President of "Amman Arab University" Participates in the Annual Meeting of the Institutions of the Association of Arab Universities
 
 President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, participated in the activities of the eighteenth annual meeting of the institutions of the Association of Arab Universities, which was hosted by Qatar University - the State of Qatar in the period between 30-31/1/2022, at the invitation of the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama.
 prof. Al-Widyan’s participation in the meeting’s activities came to talk about the establishment of the “Sustainable Development Council in Higher Education Institutions in the Arab Countries” and its localization at Amman Arab University, where Prof.Al-Widyan indicated that this council is one of the councils emanating from the Union of Arab Universities and hosted by Amman Arab University by a decision of the Council  Executive Director of the 53rd session of the General Conference, which was held during the period 11-14-15/ 2021, and spoke about the importance of establishing this council to activate the role of Arab higher education institutions and contribute to the consolidation of the concept of social responsibility in the institutional work of education and the dissemination of a culture of moral commitment to responsibility towards society and the environment  And the human.  And that it aims to enable Arab educational institutions to achieve their ambitions to be leading institutions in education, learning and comprehensive sustainable development and to activate the leading role of educational institutions in achieving the goals of comprehensive sustainable development.
 It is noteworthy that Prof.Al-Widyan, on the sidelines of this visit, is participating in the meeting with the President of Qatar University, Dr. Hassan bin Rashid Al-Derham, and his deputy, along with the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama and his assistants.
 During the visit, Prof. Al-Widyan also met with Dr. Khalid Al-Ali, Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Affairs at the Qatari Ministry of Higher Education.
