I am pleased to welcome you to the official website of the Mathematics Department at Amman Arab University, which was established in the academic year 2015/2016. The department offers a Bachelor's program in Mathematics, where students follow a modern and comprehensive curriculum designed to develop scientific knowledge and essential skills in various fields. The department continues to develop, with the introduction of a Master's program in Mathematics in the academic year 2024/2025.
The faculty members in the department specialize in various fields of mathematics and statistics, all of whom are graduates of prestigious universities. They actively engage in scientific research in areas such as fundamental analysis, topology, applied mathematics, fixed-point theory, partial differential equations, statistics, and other research interests. The faculty’s research efforts are supported by the university’s Deanship of Scientific Research, which values their outstanding contributions.
The Mathematics Department is dedicated to fostering and supporting its students at all levels to ensure they are well-prepared and excel in their academic and professional careers, equipping them with the skills and competence required for the job market.

The Mathematics Department at Amman Arab University was established in the 2015/2016 academic year, offering a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics due to its significance at local and regional levels. The department comprises a distinguished group of faculty members specializing in various fields of mathematics and statistics, all of whom are graduates of prestigious international universities. Their research interests include fundamental analysis, applied mathematics, fixed-point theory, partial differential equations, statistics, and topology, among other areas. The department offers both pure and applied mathematics courses, in addition to supporting courses for other faculties.
The department is committed to continuously updating and improving its curricula, ensuring a comprehensive academic environment that provides students with diverse scientific and practical knowledge. The faculty actively enhances students' academic and professional skills, equipping them with mathematical expertise, general knowledge, and self-learning abilities. It also fosters critical thinking and creativity through interactive participation between students and faculty members. This approach contributes to graduating highly qualified students with a strong academic reputation at both the local and regional levels.
Additionally, the department introduced a Master’s program in Mathematics in the 2024/2025 academic year, which includes two tracks:
1- Comprehensive Track
- Completion of 33 credit hours: 24 mandatory and 9 elective.
- Passing the comprehensive exam.
2- Thesis Track
- Completion of 24 credit hours: 18 mandatory and 6 elective.
- Conducting a research thesis and successfully defending it before an academic committee.
The department aims to equip students with a solid scientific foundation, preparing them for excellence in research and application, thereby enhancing their ability to serve the community and job market efficiently.
