Amman Arab University Wins a Global Grant from British council

Amman Arab University has received a prestigious "Going Global Partnerships – Gender Equality" grant from the British Council, aimed at enhancing international collaboration and the university's reputation. This project, titled "Breaking Barriers: Empowering Women's Leadership and Employment Pathways in Higher Education in Jordan and South Africa," involves partnerships with the University of East London, Oxentia, and the University of Johannesburg. It seeks to empower 40 women in higher education in both countries, enhancing their leadership roles and expanding their career opportunities, thereby promoting competition among educational institutions in the region.

The British Council's "Going Global Partnerships" program focuses on fostering gender equality in higher education through collaborative initiatives. The program addresses critical issues such as preventing violence against women, increasing female representation in leadership positions, promoting access to STEM fields, and improving employment pathways for female graduates.
