
Five Awards Cement College of Pharmacy's Leadership at Amman Arab University's Silver Jubilee
The College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University secured five prestigious awards during the university’s Silver Jubilee celebration, marking 25 years since its founding. The ceremony, held at the Sheraton Hotel in Amman, was under the patronage of Dr. Omar Mashour Haditha Al-Jazy, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, and attended by His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jazy, Engineer Ahmad Al-Khalid, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, University President.
The college received notable recognition during the event, with its Dean, Professor Dr. Rana Abu Huwaj, accepting two excellence shields. The first honored the college’s outstanding academic and administrative performance, reflected in achieving the highest performance indicators at the university level. The second celebrated the college’s attainment of international accreditation from the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), a significant milestone in its journey toward global accreditation and quality.
Additionally, Dr. Sama Taha, a faculty member, was honored for registering the first patent in Amman Arab University’s history. Dr. Haya Al-Qadri, another faculty member, received the first-place award for Best Distinguished Faculty Member in scientific colleges for the 2024-2025 academic year. Administrative staff member Engineer Rawan Fataftah was also recognized as Best Distinguished Administrative Employee for the same academic year.
On this occasion, Dr. Abu Huwaj expressed immense pride in this recognition, which reflects the distinguished standing the College of Pharmacy has achieved at Amman Arab University. She emphasized that this qualitative achievement stems from the college’s institutional approach, rooted in comprehensive quality and continuous development across academic and administrative domains. She credited the success to a culture of teamwork, wise leadership, and the university administration’s unwavering strategic support, alongside constructive partnerships with local community institutions.
Dr. Abu Huwaj further affirmed that the College of Pharmacy is confidently advancing toward more qualitative achievements, particularly in education, scientific research, and community service, reinforcing its position as a leading academic institution at both local and regional levels.
