Dr. Ammar Al-Rawahneh from Amman Arab University as Keynote Speaker at Odoo Educational Program Launch
Amman Arab University participated in the launch event of the Odoo Educational Program, organized by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship under the "Youth, Technology, and Jobs" project. The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, representatives from Jordanian universities and the private sector, as well as the Digital Skills Association. The initiative aimed to highlight the importance of aligning academic education with labor market needs and emphasized Odoo's role in developing students' digital skills through training on advanced ERP tools, thereby preparing them for the digital job market and enhancing their employment prospects locally and regionally.
Representing Amman Arab University at the launch, Dr. Ammar Al-Rawahneh, faculty member at the College of Business, delivered a keynote address during the panel discussion. He showcased the university's pioneering experience in integrating Odoo into the College of Business's academic curricula, explaining how this approach has helped students bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications, equipping them for the evolving digital job market.
Dr. Al-Rawahneh emphasized that this initiative reflects the university's ongoing efforts to keep pace with technological advancements and provide students with the necessary skills for the fast-changing digital economy. He added that Odoo's integration enables students to master advanced ERP tools, boosting their competitiveness in local and regional markets.
Attendees praised Amman Arab University's model as exemplary in technical education, crediting the vision of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, University President, for embracing modern technologies and his commitment to empowering students with skills for success in a dynamic job market.
The event also announced that Jordanian university students can earn a certified Odoo Diploma free of charge upon completing the training program and passing required exams. This opportunity opens doors for students to join Odoo's partner network locally and regionally, significantly enhancing their career prospects.
