
Aviation Sciences College at "Amman Arab University" Participates in the 15th Engineering Scientific Day to Promote Innovation and Industry
Under the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and the coordination of Dr. Malik Al-Salem Al-Anaqreh, Dean of the College of Aviation Sciences, and as part of the college's extracurricular activities and fruitful collaboration with Jordanian universities, the College of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University participated in the 15th Engineering Scientific Day. The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Engineer Samir Al-Samirat, and was organized by the Faculty of Engineering at Hashemite University under the theme "Engineering to Promote Innovation and Industry." The university was represented by Dr. Ahmad Al-Hosban, a faculty member at the college, who participated in the scientific discussions and dialogues following the presentations by participants and researchers, contributing to the field of aviation and air navigation electronics.
The event featured welcoming speeches and scientific engineering discussions, where participants addressed topics such as engineering, digital transformation, and innovation in industry. Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarrah, General Manager of (MARS) for Drones, delivered a lecture titled "With Engineering, We Innovate; With Industry, We Rise." The Engineering Scientific Day included a series of segments showcasing students' innovative engineering projects, their achievements, and the awards they received. During the event, a graduation and innovation projects exhibition was inaugurated, featuring students' accomplishments in the mechanics and electronics of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in collaboration with MARS Company. Students displayed their latest advancements in modern drone communications and automated flight path control via satellite navigation systems (GPS).
This event is one of the prominent annual activities in the field of engineering and innovation, witnessing broad participation from faculty members, researchers, and engineers from various Jordanian universities, alongside representatives from the industrial sector. At the conclusion of the event, the most cited faculty members in research were honored, along with students who won awards for outstanding graduation projects.
Participants emphasized the importance of this event in encouraging students to develop practical solutions for challenges faced in their graduation projects, as well as fostering research collaboration between universities and the industrial sector to produce innovative solutions that support sustainable development goals.
