Amman Arab University Sponsors Graduation Ceremony for "Educational Family Counseling" Training Diploma Students

Amman Arab University (AAU) Sponsors Graduation Ceremony for "Educational Family Counseling" Training Diploma Students

Under the patronage of the President of Amman Arab University, Professor Mohammad Al-Widyan, and in alignment with the university’s philosophy of building partnerships with civil society institutions and addressing key issues affecting every Jordanian family, the Consultation and Training Center—in cooperation with the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences and the Forum for Training and Empowering Women and Children—organized the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of the "Educational Family Counseling" Training Diploma.

The ceremony was attended by Professor Ismail Yamin, Assistant President for Academic Affairs, representing the University President. On this occasion, Dr. Yamin expressed his delight at the graduation of the first cohort of the "Educational Family Counseling" Diploma, noting that this program is the result of collaboration between the Consultation and Training Center, the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University, and the Forum for Training and Empowering Women and Children. This cooperation reflects the university’s commitment to its mission of establishing effective partnerships with civil society institutions and enhancing its role in serving national issues that directly impact the lives of Jordanian families.

For her part, Ms. Omayma Al-Akhras, Executive Director of the Forum for Training and Empowering Women and Children, emphasized the forum’s pride in implementing this diploma in partnership with Amman Arab University. She described it as a practical response to the family challenges posed by the changes of modern life and the rapid social, economic, and technological transformations. She stressed that supporting and empowering families constitutes the fundamental pillar for building a cohesive society and a strong nation.

Dr. Sanaa Abul-Lail, Head of the Consultations and Diplomas Committee at the Forum, delivered a speech addressed to the graduating female students, praising them as beacons illuminating the paths of society with the knowledge and skills they have acquired. She emphasized the essential role of educational family counseling in protecting the family and raising conscious generations, while also acknowledging the efforts of the faculty members who enriched this diploma with their valuable knowledge and expertise.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the graduates expressed their deep gratitude to the Consultation and Training Center, the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University, and the Forum for Training and Empowering Women and Children, recognizing their pioneering role in supporting their academic journey, enhancing their knowledge, refining their skills, and instilling enduring values in their characters.

The implementation of such training diplomas is part of Amman Arab University’s and its Consultation and Training Center’s efforts to qualify and train students in acquiring and developing necessary scientific knowledge, while networking with various local community institutions to achieve sustainable development goals in the field of education and training.
