Amman Arab University (AAU) Signs Exclusive Agreement with Global PROKON to Support Civil Engineering Students
Reflecting its commitment to developing students' skills in line with labor market demands and equipping them with modern technical knowledge and tools, Amman Arab University—under the directives of Professor Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of the University, and the follow-up of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering—has signed an exclusive agreement with Ireland-based PROKON, a global leader in engineering software specialized in civil engineering and structural design.
As part of this strategic collaboration, the university has received a donation valued at €325,000, which includes 100 licensed copies of PROKON’s advanced software. This tool is among the most important resources for qualifying civil engineers and refining their practical expertise. This achievement aligns with the university’s strategy to empower students with the technical and practical competencies that enhance their competitiveness in local, regional, and international job markets.
The Department of Civil Engineering at Amman Arab University, under the coordination of Engineer Mona Al-Momni, played a key role in realizing this accomplishment. Through intensive communication over the course of a full year with PROKON, the department ensured the completion of contractual procedures and the timely provision of the software to students. This success underscores the university’s steadfast commitment to providing cutting-edge educational tools and opportunities, as well as its dedication to preparing students to meet labor market requirements by equipping them with the scientific knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in engineering environments and construction sites.
