Amman Arab University Joins "Protect Yourself" Campaign to Boost Environmental Awareness at the Dead Sea
Demonstrating its commitment to promoting positive environmental practices and fostering civic responsibility among students, Amman Arab University participated in the "Protect Yourself" awareness campaign at the Dead Sea under the guidance of University President Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan. A student delegation from the College of Arts and Sciences took part in the initiative, coordinated by faculty members Dr. Abeer Al-Ghdayrah and Dr. Ahmad Al-Hawarat.
The campaign saw collaboration with several government and community organizations including the Crown Prince Foundation's Balqa Office, Balqa Civil Defense Directorate, Community Police, We Are All Jordan Youth Commission, education directorates from Southern Shouneh and Salt districts, and other public universities in the governorate.
Students actively participated in various field activities, most notably a comprehensive beach cleanup operation. The campaign also featured environmental awareness programs highlighting the importance of preserving public spaces and promoting safety measures against fires and drowning incidents, particularly crucial with the approaching summer season and expected increase in tourist activity at the Dead Sea.
