Amman Arab University Enhances Students’ Robotics Skills Through Advanced Training Course

As part of its ongoing efforts to develop students’ skills, equip them with advanced technical knowledge, and foster innovation, the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University organized an intensive training course titled “EV3 Robot Design and Programming.” The three-day course, held at the specialized Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Incubator, aimed to enhance students’ understanding of modern robotics and provide them with hands-on skills in designing and programming robots using advanced technologies. Additionally, it prepared them to actively participate in specialized local and international competitions.

The course, led by Dr. Majdi Salama, a faculty member at the College of Information Technology, saw broad participation from students across various disciplines. It featured an interactive learning environment that combined theoretical and practical approaches. Dr. Salama emphasized delivering practical content to directly enhance students’ technical skills, enriching their academic experience and boosting their readiness to compete in technology and artificial intelligence fields. He highlighted the importance of such training programs as a real platform for honing practical skills and strengthening students’ capabilities in modern technology and AI, thereby improving their academic and professional competitiveness both locally and internationally.

For his part, Dr. Rami Sahwil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, stressed the college’s commitment to supporting activities aligned with its vision of integrating students with cutting-edge technologies. He affirmed that organizing such events contributes to building an advanced educational environment that prepares students for the job market, enables them to engage directly with the latest global innovations in robotics and programming, and enhances their ability to develop real-world technological solutions to contemporary challenges.

Dr. Sahwil added that the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University is dedicated to providing a comprehensive educational system that bridges academic and practical learning. It continuously seeks partnerships with leading educational and technological institutions to broaden students’ horizons in training, research, and participation in local and international competitions. He noted that these efforts are part of a strategic plan aimed at graduating skilled professionals capable of excelling and innovating in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
