The department carries out a set of tasks and functions related to the university’s websites in terms of design, programming, and graphic design. It also works to continue developing the methods and software used in various fields to advance hand in hand at the university. It is aware that websites, including the website, are the university’s main gateway to the world of the web and the Internet, which has become more widespread and promoted. We will present to you the most important roles and tasks resulting from this department:
- Continuously improving the performance of the university’s website to suit all new developments and to have a strong software structure befitting the university’s level.
- Adding the necessary amendments on an ongoing basis regarding the content, menus, and services of colleges, departments, and centers in Arabic and English, according to what is provided to us by the website’s liaison officers.
- Adding news and classified ads in the sections designated for them correctly, with deletion, modification, and publishing after providing them to us from the Department of Information and Public Relations.
- Adding a “Personal Page” to the university’s website, creating a complete control panel to collect faculty data, and adding pages that are easy to handle by faculty members.
- Working on the sustainability of websites, including the conference website of all academic colleges, the personal page of faculty members, the university’s newsletter, faculty members’ research, and others.
- Creating academic and administrative units on the website.
- Follow up on the implementation of the Webometric plan to raise the website’s ranking.
- Building, designing and developing website screens.
- Developing and expanding the content divisions of the website.
