Amman Arab University Launches a Humanitarian Initiative to Sponsor the Elderly
Amman Arab University organized a humanitarian visit to Samir Shamma Darat Association for the Elderly and Retirees. This initiative, part of the "Elderly Time Sponsorship" program, allows students to volunteer their time to provide emotional and psychological support to the elderly residents. The visit included a tour of the association’s facilities, where students learned about the comprehensive care provided to the elderly, including social, health, and recreational services.
The students interacted with the elderly residents, engaging in conversations and activities, and presented symbolic gifts, which brought joy to the elderly and eased their feelings of loneliness. The elderly expressed their appreciation for the students’ visit, and the students shared that the experience was inspiring and helped them better understand the values of empathy and social responsibility.
