The event, held at the Fairmont Hotel in Amman, saw the participation of Ms. Nadia Al-Qudimat, Assistant to the University President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Ahoud Al-Khasawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Business at the university, alongside an elite group of female leaders and experts in technology and digital transformation.
HE Al-Samirat emphasized the summit’s significance, highlighting the growing awareness of women’s role in digital transformation and economic development. He noted that women are key partners in Jordan’s comprehensive development journey, with successive governments working to provide legislative and institutional frameworks ensuring their active participation across sectors—particularly in ICT, one of the fastest-growing and most impactful fields. He pointed to positive indicators, with women constituting 39% of ICT graduates, 33% of the digital workforce, and a notable presence in specialized fields like cybersecurity, AI, and data science, as well as leadership roles and women-led startups (30%).
Ms. Al-Qudimat stated that the university’s participation reflects women’s pioneering role in the digital and financial sectors. Summit sessions addressed critical themes, including AI, financial inclusion, digital safety, and women’s representation in media and tech, fostering awareness of equal opportunities and digital inclusivity. She affirmed that Amman Arab University prioritizes women’s academic and professional empowerment, particularly in digital transformation and innovation, integrating entrepreneurship and tech concepts into academic programs to nurture future female leaders.
